How does it work?

Simply put, heat pumps use a small amount of energy to transfer heat from one location to another. By pulling heat out of the ambient air, the Daikin Altherma air source heat pump from Runnymede Response generates 3-5Kw of usable heat energy for every 1Kw of electricity to heat up the water in your hot water tank or central heating system. Since a heat pump doesn’t generate heat itself, it uses less energy and provides incredible savings on your heating and hot water bills.

Daikin Altherma system features

At a glance, the Daikin Altherma air source heat pump has a lot of amazing features:
  • Manages a COP of 3.0 at -7°
  • Works down to -20°
  • Grants and incentives are available to help with cost
  • Only requires electricity
  • More cost-effective and easier to install than ground source installations

Ground source heat pumps

Runnymede Response also provides a variety of ground source heat pumps that extract heat from the ground using pipes that are buried in the garden. The heat is then transferred to your radiators, underfloor or central heating systems and hot water tanks. Ground source heat pumps require minimal maintenance and can help reduce the overall costs of heating your home.
